Little Hands Across the World
Little Hands Across the World is a new resource developed by teachers from the Peel District School Board to support the grade 2 social studies program: Communities Around the World.
When you order a hardcopy of this kit, you'll receive:
- a teacher's guide
- copy of the video Sweatin' It
- copies of worksheets to use in the classroom
Sweatin' It was created by Canadian Olympic gold-metal wrestler, Daniel Igali. Igali set out on a mission to raise funds to build a modern school in his home town of Eniwari, Nigeria. Two Peel secondary students and a film producer, Lalita Krishna, joined Igali on a trip to Eniwari. The teacher's guide incorporates the video and documents both lesson plans and relevant resources to support grade 2 teachers with the social studies curriculum.
