What's the BIG idea?

An interactive, hands-on event for grade 8 to 10 students and teachers to learn how small business loans can make a big difference for entrepreneurs in developing countries. Students will be introduced to microfinance—what it is, how it works, and how it can change the lives of real people across the world.

Model United Nations

Leadership Now! 2009 student conference

Leadership Now! was held held on Oct. 27 and 28 at the Powerade Center. This two-day conference focused on leadership and global poverty. more information

R U AWARE? Spread the word, not HIV

RUAWARE? will take place on November 4, 2009 at the HJA Brown Education Centre. This annual half-day workshop is specifically designed for youth to promote leadership and create awareness about HIV and AIDS. Click here for more information.

Do you want a chance to guide the youth environmental movement in Peel? Nominate yourself as a PEYA Executive!

PEYA is run by a student committee, and we are looking for high school students who are interested in environmental issues and will be in high school in September 2010. To run for the PEYA Executive 2010-2011 committee, candidates must be present at our PEYA Annual General Meeting on Saturday May 15 to deliver a two-minute speech about yourself. If you are interested in running for a position on the Executive, fill out the online form at peyalliance.com/agm
