Directions

We are located in Room 101.  Our outside entrance is at the back of the school which is found by walking through the school's parking lot along side the west side of the building toward the field and then turning right.

By car: we are located just east of Haig Boulevard on the north side of Lakeshore Road East.  If you are driving, the parking spaces at the back of the school are for the Readiness Centre.

  • How to register

    • The program is run on a drop-in basis. Arrival time is flexible however we fill quickly in the morning session so we recommend arriving before 10:00 am to ensure a space.
    • Sign in upon arrival each day
    • New families can pick up registration forms during their first visit. The forms may be completed during the program, or at home and returned at the next visit. Families must sign in on every visit.

    What you need

  • Shoes with a grip sole for active play in the gym so that children do not slip and fall (no bare feet); indoor shoes for both children and parent/caregiver during winter and on wet, rainy days
  • Play-friendly clothing; clothing appropriate for outdoor play (e.g. snowpants, boots, mittens, hats for the winter months if temperatures permit)
  • Snack is provided, but donations of snack items are welcomed. Please make sure there are NO nuts or snacks that contain nuts. We are part of the school's "nut free environment" >
  • We provide disposable bags for you to put your dirty diapers in, but we ask that you take all soiled diapers home. We have wipes and a supply of "emergency" diapers. Please use the wipes and disinfectant to clean and disinfect the change table after every use.
  • For the sake of your children, and others attending the readiness centre, please keep your child at home if the he/she appears ill, for example, with symptoms of fever, flu, severe cough or cold, pink eye or head lice)
  • We have a large selection of books, videos, DVD’s, magazines and other materials for both parents and children, which can be signed out
  • Parents/caregivers are expected to interact and participate in the program and are responsible for their children at all times
