Early years Hubs help prepare children for school by providing an informal and welcoming learning environment for parents and caregivers with children from birth to 4 years of age. Like Readiness Centres, Hubs provide an opportunity for infants and children to learn literacy, numeracy and social skills through a variety of activities.
Each Hub is staffed by a teacher and teaching assistants and can provide consultation with an on-site speech language pathologist, social worker or community outreach worker, if these services are necessary.
While all Hubs provide caregivers and their children with a stimulating learning environment, each centre boasts unique qualities reflective of the community in which it is located. |
