Registration Steps for International students


  • Review the Student Responsibilities guidelines
  • Review the Internet Acceptable Use Policy and the Student Information
  • Select a course and familiarise yourself with the content of the FAQ's
  • Check the calendar for registration and orientation dates
  • Complete the self-test
  • Complete the Hardware Test to make sure your computer has the required components
  • Print a copy of the registration form from the link at the bottom of the page*
  • If you fall into one of the following categories:

    -  Applicant for Landing/Approval in Principle (sponsorship)
    -  Minister's Permit (and/or Extension thereof)
    -  Employment Authorization (work permit)
    -  Student Authorization (dependent of work permit holder)
    -  Refugee claimant/Convention refugee
    -  Visitor's Visa

you must contact  the International Education and Training Department at Centre for Education and Training   (905-949-0049 ext. 1252).  More information can be found on the website  http://conted.peelschools.org/DiplomaCourses/

  • Some applicants may not qualify
  • If you are an international student but do not fit into any of the above categories, please call (905) 890-1010 ext. 6610 for information on fees and eligibility
  • Complete the registration form and bring it to Continuing Education, in person, during business hours:
    Continuing Education,(click here for a map)  Room 116, Adult Education Centre South, 100 Elm Drive West, Mississauga
  • Attend the orientation. 

Students may only register for one full credit course (or 2 half-credit courses) in a semester at Night or Summer School, whether online or in-class. 

*Other documents to bring to registration:

  • Your official transcript of Ontario Secondary School education
  • If you are a Canadian citizen, bring your birth certificate or citizenship card
  • If you are a Landed Immigrant bring your original document with you

NOTE: If you live outside the Peel Region and are unable to attend the orientation then please click here to download the Student Information Sheet and follow the directions on the form. We will expect that you will have taken the tour and familiarized yourself with the Student Guide before starting your course.
