Peel board students, staff send hope to cyclone victims in Myanmar Students across the Peel District School Board will arrive at school on Tuesday morning with a toonie in hand to support UNICEF's emergency appeal for victims of the cyclone in Myanmar. The Peel board has asked schools and board departments to participate in the voluntary campaign and designated Tuesday, May 13 as Toonie Tuesday to Send Hope to Cyclone Victims. Full Story |

Peel board honours long-serving volunteers for contributions to public education The Peel District School Board will honour long-serving volunteers during a special reception at the HJA Brown Education Centre on May 14. Those attending are among more than 500 volunteers who have devoted at least five years to public education or are community members on board committees. Full Story |
